River Kayak Full Immersion

This lesson is designed for those outdoors enthusiasts that want to get started the proper way of river kayaking. While getting fully immersed in river kayaking you will learn to read the river, river kayak safety, river hydrology, river rescue and much more.

Who: If you have the working knowledge of forward and reverse strokes, forward and reverse sweep strokes and the need for fun then whitewater is for you.

What: River kayak lesson using decked river kayaks

When: While the snow melts and the rivers flow (May - August)

Where: The closest river to San Diego is the Kern River. LFKC will use this river primarily but be ready to head north and play on other rivers such as the Kings, Cal-Salmon, Russian, Eel and the American.

How: Once you have learned the basic strokes or are a seasoned kayaker of other kayak disciplines, come on out and enjoy the fun.

How much: Each Lesson is six hours on the water per day unless otherwise stated.

A. 1 day Kayaking Basics $150 per person.

B. 2 day river refresher $250 per person.

C. 3.5 day full immersion $395 per person.

D. 1 day river surfing and river running $175 per person.

E. 3 day intermediate immersion $350 per person

May 5&6: 2 day basic river refresher (class I-II) Kern River,CA

May 11 - 13, 2007 ~ Intermediate season warm up on the Kern River,CA

May 15 - 17 , 2007 ~ 1 day basic refresher (class I&II), 2 day skill building (class I&II+)

May 18-20: River Runner Special. Three days of river running, rescue tecniques and river surfing.
