Surf Kayak Level 3

6:30am-8:30am

The interest in playing with the waves started in kayaks a long time ago and is making a strong comeback in the ever-popular kayak world. Today surf kayaking is an ever-sought out discipline of kayakers and outdoor enthusiasts. We want you to learn to slide along these waves with good etiquette, safety and a whole lot of fun.

Who: Paddlers with the understanding of basic wave riding, etiquette and the excitement to kayak surf

What: Weekly lesson on surf zone fundamentals, performance wave riding, design and exploration into the sport.

When: Fridays, 6:30am-8:30am

How: Once you have gained the necessary skills to be an aware kayaker in the surf (level 1&2 surf kayaking), and permission of the coach.

Where: One of the more fun parts to this lesson is the exploration of new and exciting surf breaks. Each week meets at a venue to compliment the group and weekly skills.

Participants provide own equipment.

• Kayak with proper flotation
• Paddle
• Pfd
• Helmet
• Clothing for immersion in 50’ water.
