Who: After completion of "Into the Sea", "Sea Kayaks in the Surf", or equivalent, a bit of butt time, and permission from the guide, you may register for this tour. An Eskimo roll is very good to have but not required.

What: An exploration of the low tidal zone along Point Loma, and towards Sunset Cliffs. If a good reef break is found we will spend some time surfing, learning to surf, or watching others surf. Lunch will be taken on a secluded beach only available by our small craft. The distance traveled will be 9-12 nautical miles.

Cost:  $80 

Gear list:

• Kayak with proper flotation
• PFD with at a minimum of a whistle, knife and power snack.
• Paddle, spare paddle if you have one.
• Spraydeck for closed decked kayaks and thigh braces for all sit on top kayaks.
• Clothing for continuous immersion in 60’ water.
• Water and a snack (lunch provided)
  
• Bildge pump (if built in, have a hand pump for back up)
• Spare cloths to include a warm fleece like hat, warm dry top.
• Boots, shoes or something that will stay on your feet during a swim.
• Helmets that fit properly!
• Tow system (optional but should be on your gear list)
• VHF radio (optional but good to have per person)Cell phones work in most areas just offshore of San Diego and is a good resource to have.
• Any other items that you feel necessary to bring.
