Sea Kayak Race Techniques

How can I go faster in my kayak?   A few simple rules to apply can give one much more speed.

Efficient Paddle Strokes, Proper Flexibility Training and Endurance

LFKC will be providing a flat water video analysis for sea kayaks to help rid of bad habits and incorporate new and easy ways to improve overall speed.

 

 

Who:  Those interested in paddling efficiently and increasing speed.  Kayaks can be sea kayak, sit on tops, surf-skis and tandem kayaks.   Pre-Requisites:  one must have the knowledge to float in a kayak. 

What:  Four hours of forward stroke techniques with personal attention and video analysis.

 

 

When:  June 2, 2007, 8:00am-12:30pm

 

How:  Call or write LFKC to register and for more information

 

Where:  With the ever changing conditions LFKC will designate the venue 24 hours prior to the lesson.  Most lessons are taught in San Diego County.

 

Cost:  $80

 

Equipment list:

Kayak already outfitted and ready to go

Paddle

PFD

Spray deck if in a decked kayak

Water

Sun Block

Retainer for glasses (if you wear prescription or sunglasses have a retainer) I use Chums on my sunglasses.
