Have you been asked to take some friends out for a kayak tour? Were you a little hesitant on your skills to lead them in the ocean? Guiding Essentials #2 is designed to give general leadership knowledge to bring a group near or in sea caves, paddle around rocks, and get them in and out of the surf zone.
ÂWho:Â Participants with a working knowledge of kayak strokes, bracing, and self rescue.
These skills can be learned on a private lesson or practiced on the “Flat Water Perfection†lesson.
ÂWhat:Â Four hours of leadership skills directed for the future guide, or paddlers looking ot take family and friends out on a paddle.
ÂWhen: June 20, 2007. Also look for upcoming dates on the calendar.
ÂHow:Â Call or write and register today or call for more information.
ÂWhere: Due to the changing ocean conditions, the venue will be picked about 24 hours prior to the lesson. Most lessons are taught in San Diego County.
