Surf Kayaking Level 2

The interest in playing with the waves started in kayaks a long time ago and is making a strong comeback in the ever-popular kayak world. Today surf kayaking is an ever-sought out discipline of kayakers and outdoor enthusiasts. We want you to learn to slide along these waves with good etiquette, safety and a whole lot of fun.

Who: Persons interested in improving their kayak skills and those with the drive to learn to surf.

What: Two hours of personal instruction on how to surf, where to surf and etiquette.

When:   Wednesday's 7:00am-9:00am

How: Call to register.

Where: With a constant change in the ocean conditions we will meet at a venue that fits the week’s skills.  Call LFK the night prior to the lesson.

note:  If you want to come to this event and it is too late or too early, let us know.  We will do our best to accommodate your needs.

 

Participants must provide their own kayak equipment.

Equipment list:

Kayak: Surf specific craft, wave ski, sot on top, and whitewater kayak acceptable.

Spray deck for decked kayaks

Paddle

PFD that is fit properly (snug is good)

Helmet that fits properly.

Foot gear

Clothing to keep you warm in 60' water.
